BET’s “Sistas” Star Ebony Obsidian is currently mourning the passing of her mother and celebrating her life as well!!
One of the sweet messages she shared on Instagram in a previous post was:
“Survivor of one of the longest recorded civil wars. An immigrant in a land that did not want you to succeed three times over, being a woman, black, and “foreign.” You conquered every obstacle, skirted every word of malice, and blossomed like a rose through the thickest of concrete. And all by yourself with a baby on your hip.”
Ebony recently shared on Instagram that she’ll be giving back to refugees in need in honor of her mother and we just thought this would be important to share to help spread the word so everyone one else could help out as well.
Ebony shared:
“This #WorldRefugeeDay, I decided to donate some of my Mama’s clothing to @RescueOrg. As a brand ambassador, I am beyond grateful to be of use to folks just like her. Have anything you can afford to part ways with? Visit http://www.rescue.org #BrandAmbassador”
Sending our condolences! Ebony is so strong and we know her mom would be so proud of everything she’s doing right now and will continue to do in the future!
